How long does salmon last?
1–2 days fresh refrigerated, 3 months frozen, 3 days cooked.
Signs it has gone bad
Dull, gapping flesh, milky slime, or a strong fishy ammonia smell.
Cooking notes
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–14 minutes; pull at 125–130°F (52–54°C).
- Start skin-side down in a hot pan and leave it alone for crisp skin.
- White albumin on the surface means the heat was too high.
